Under my sink lives a chiller,
Noticed by no one, but appreciated by all.
Detoxing our bodies and refreshing our minds,
Eternal provider of pure and delicious water.
Running into my palms and over my fingers,
Sometimes I hold my mouth under your tap.
Into my nose and eyelids you creep,
Natural goodness everywhere.
Know you of your shiny levers?
Where I can gaze at my own reflection for hours on end?
And of your convience at being installed in our sink?
Truly, our guests marvel at your compact design,
Excited to try you out.
Running to and from home and work, I arrive tired and thirsty,
Calling to you for help and remedy,
Hoping you will deliver.
If you sometime get stuck,
Lovely engineers arrive at the scene.
Lovingly tending to your sickness,
Eventually making you much better.

As Halloween approaches, our minds are firmly on the scary, the creepy, the unreal, the undead…maybe we’re getting a little carried away, but the fun is in the frightening, and our inner children just cannot resist. As always at this time of year, cinemas are full to bursting with horror films, each one seeming more gruesome and chilling than the last. But what about for those budding directors and actors who’ve always wanted to have a go at something different- we are here to offer you inspiration.
Let us set the scene: it’s night time. It’s dark. A creepy house. An owl hoots, and the sound echoes into the empty night. Two friends who have got lost in the woods on their way to…errrm…..Grandma’s house, stumble upon the abandoned building. Desperate for refuge, they push open the back door, leading to the kitchen. Silence. A sound comes from under the sink. The pair decide to take a look. They pull open the cupboard door, and then….well, that’s for you to decide. Take the story and run with it, let yourself think up something truly wonderful/disgusting/surreal, and let us know where your “Under sink chiller” takes you.
