With all that delicious food around, they needed a good fix of water, in plentiful supply and very often. Taking the cheaper option and staying in hostels all along the way, our happy campers found themselves staying in extremely close proximity of the Four Seasons Hotel in Istanbul. Unable to contain their curiosity, they found themselves being welcomed inside by the doorman, where they experienced beauty they could never have imagined…
The hotel had adopted the ingenious idea of taking water from their under sink water chiller and placing pieces of fruit in a large container, with the water, in the foyer. This provided a delicious, refreshing beverage for everyone walking through, and a welcome relief from the heat.
If you’re feeling frazzled, even in this cold weather, why not try something similar? We recommend cut up strawberries, nectarines, lemons or fruits of the forest to make tasty and unique difference to your water. You could also try freezing pieces of the fruit in ice cubes for a summer-themed party to combat the winter blues!
