Leave your under sink chiller at Home: part 2

July 25th, 2010

Following the immense success and popularity of the first in our latest two-part blog, exploring the reasons why you, dear reader, should get out the house, leaving your under sink chiller to fend for itself (don’t worry, the taps will still be beautiful and shiny once you return), we thought we’d bring you another great idea for a day out this summer. This one is great for the whole family, and will definitely keep all ages entertained for sustained periods of time.
As we know, the weather in Britain does not always allow for outdoor activity, so why not head down to your local pottery painting store to create yourself some useful ceramics for the home? The shops are dotted all over the place, so Google for your nearest, and let your imagination and the huge range of coloured paints that they have in-shop, do the rest! They’re sure to also have inspiring works all over the walls, so you’ll never be stuck; why not paint a mug in which you can enjoy a nice cup of tea made straight from your under sink chiller?
If you have any other suggestions you’d like to share with us and our readers about where to go and what to see this summer, please do get in touch- drop us a line, or leave a comment at the bottom of our blog.

Leave your under sink chiller at Home: part 1

July 18th, 2010

Having recently preached about why we should all stay in and enjoy the company of our under sink chiller of an evening, maybe snuggle on the sofa with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit, we now have reasons why, this summer, one should most definitely be getting out the house on a regular basis and seeing all the wonderful things that there are to do in the UK, in our new two-part blog.
If you fancy yourself as a regular theatre-goer, then our first suggestion is for you, particularly if you live in our wonderful capital city, and like a bit of an extreme experience/to have yourself a weird and wonderful time. You Me Me Bum Bum Train, being performed in Bethnal Green throughout July, is a top-secret (until you get in, of course) ride, during which an individual audience member is catapulted through a number of experiences, in which they become the star of the show. As we say it’s very hush hush, owing to the fact that the participant must react with a fresh eye, and pre-empting anything would ruin the surprise.
If you’re lucky enough to have a ticket for this show, then please let us know, or indeed if you’d like to share other reasons why our readers should leave their under sink chiller all alone and venture out. We look forward to hearing from you.

Save your under sink chiller water

July 11th, 2010

There are tonnes of reasons why getting your hands on an under sink chiller is a good idea- hot and cold water on tap (hoho) whenever you should so fancy it, filtered straight from your mains supply for freshness and cleanliness. Of course, as much as we love providing this service, there’s always room to save water and help the environment, particularly in the hot weather of the summer season, so this week we’re sharing a few water-saving tips with you:

under sink chiller gives good water saving tipsTurn the taps off: Don’t leave them running when you’re brushing your teeth, and make sure there are no cheeky drips coming out once you’re finished. If the taps on your under sink chiller are being temperamental, just give us a call and we’ll send an engineer out to fix the problem.

Try baths instead of showers: Studies have shown that, on average, a shower uses less precious water than filling the tub, and can also be much more refreshing in the heat.

Use a water butt for the garden: It’ll catch rain and mean you won’t have to use as much from the hose to keep your flowers happy.

If you have any other water-saving tips, or would like any more information about getting an under sink chiller in your home or office, please do get in touch and one of our team will be on hand to help.

redbridge are looking into under sink chillers
Throughout the UK, budgets and spending sprees for businesses and public sector organisations, even on seemingly essential items such as a regular supply of drinking water, are being cut, a bid by the new coalition government to gain some ground after a miserable financial year. Ilford council is one of these sectors facing the harsh reality, after their spending figures for bottled water were released, revealing that over £41,000 went on the water alone between 2009 and 2010. In order to cut costs and save precious resources in this difficult climate, the council are looking for mains-fed options to keep their staff suitably hydrated, such as investing in one of our under sink chillers. Not only will the shiny taps add something stunning to any environment, but you’ll have hot and cold water at your fingertips, twenty-four seven.
If you’re looking for ways in which to help the environment, and still have a convenient and clean supply of water in your office or home, just get in touch with us here, and we’ll talk you though our range of under sink chillers. We’ll arrange for one of our engineers to come and perform a site survey for you, and away we go- you’ll be looking forward to a money-saving and environmentally friendly future for your business or household.

Under sink Chiller Art

June 27th, 2010
We all love a bit of modern art, feeling like we’re cultured and can understand obscure concepts that are being explored through the mediums of painting, sculpture, photography, or sometimes even film. one of things we love most about modernism is the fact that apparently literally anything you can get your hands on can be made into a masterpiece, and make the owner loads of dosh….which got us thinking. It’s common knowledge that an under sink chiller in the home makes one more attractive, appear instantly sophisticated and improves quality of life (disclaimer: We cannot guarantee the truth of the first two statements), so why not turn yours into an in-house art piece? The shiny levels and beautiful taps need minimal decoration, the sink itself will reflect light beautifully. We’re imagining lights- plain white, or perhaps a variety of colours to your own taste- possibly in a darkened room, to add to the drama and intense atmosphere of the installation you’ve created in your own residence. As your willing and excited audience enter the space, they can become one with the art- your under sink chiller- breathing in and absorbing all of it’s astounding qualities, and feeling extremely envious that they don’t have one of their own (yet).
If this all sounds like something rather exciting that you;d like to have a go at, or maybe you’ve already turned your kitchen into a gallery and would like to share your photos or stories with us, please do get in touch. We always love to hear about times where an under sink chiller gets to play the romantic (in some ways…) lead! Or indeed, if you’d like to discover how an under sink chiller can be useful for you, one of our team will be on the end of the phone to answer any questions you may have.

Reasons to stay in with your Undersink Chiller

June 20th, 2010

Sometimes, after a long, hard day at work, all you want to do is curl up on the sofa with pizza, crisps, chocolate, and of course a nice cup of tea made from your under sink chiller, deliciously hot, tasty and fresh. Lovely. But all this isn’t quite right if there isn’t anything decent on the telly, or indeed if you’re aimlessly channel surfing trying to find the good stuff. This is where we can help: in this week’s blog we list our fave things to watch on the box, meaning you can literally switch your brain off and enjoy. We hope you like them!
Junior Apprentice: Is there anything more delightful than watching know-it-all teenage business prodigies argue about what colour to ice fairy cakes? And then get grilled by Lord Sugar? We think not.
Glee: Guaranteed to make even the most dull day bright, and cheer anyone up. You’ll want to cover yourself in glitter, build a stage in the living room, and pretend you’re in high school again.
Big Brother: It’s back for the final series, and why on earth would we want to miss out on the last ever chance to laugh at, cry for and evict people we really wouldn’t want to live with?
If you have any better reasons to stay in with your under sink chiller than the options we’ve offered you, please do get in touch-we always love to hear your comments and suggestions!

Sing for England with an under sink chiller

June 13th, 2010

On May 29th of this year, as with every year around this time, the people of Europe gathered around their telly sets and settled down for the night, to watch their country compete in the Eurovision Song Contest. For hours we gripped the sofa arms, wondering who would vote for the UK, and catapult our young representative Josh Dubovie, to victory. Alas, as seems to be the trend with the UK/England competing in anything, it was not to be. With ten points, and the last place prize, Josh flew home to Mum for a cup of tea and a hug.
If you think you can be the one to change the course of history, and bring home a trophy for the Queen to put on the mantelpiece, training your singing voice starts with investing in an under sink chiller. Drinking enough water is essential for getting those vocal chords in shape, and of course for giving you enough energy to belt out emotional numbers, as well helping you keep that healthy glow which will look stunning under bright lights, such as the subtle, tasteful designs seen at Eurovision.
So if you think you, or maybe one of your little ones, have a good chance of getting on the telly, give us a call, and we’ll arrange for one of our engineers to carry out a site survey for your under sink chiller, and you can look forward to your (almost guaranteed) fame and fortune!

Tasty summer drinks from our under sink chillers- Part 2

June 6th, 2010

enjoy our under sink chiller cocktailsFollowing the delicious cocktail that we shared with you last week, as a treat to help you out with catering for any summertime partying you may be doing this year, we’re bringing you yet another scrummy recipe. Still non-alcoholic, so the whole family can enjoy it, and still 100% refreshing and delicious, we present…the under sink chiller take on the classic Mai Thai.
- Take a (empty) glass, dip the rim in a saucer of any fruit syrup, and dip into a saucer of sugar, to create a pretty decoration.
- Fill a quarter of the glass with peach juice, and the remaining space with orange juice. Remember to leave a little room for ice!
- Drizzle grenadine syrup into the glass, and watch it create beautiful patterns.
- For the grand finale, take your ready-made ice cubes, created with the water from your under sink chiller, and voila. A delicious drink. For extra “wow” factor, try adding a slice on pineapple onto the glass, and maybe a paper umbrella.
We always love to hear from you, so let us know how you get on with making our cocktails. We’re also available for taster sessions, should you so require an expert opinion. Thank you.

Tasty summer drinks from your under sink chiller- Part 1

May 30th, 2010

make summer drinks with an under sink chillerIt’s getting warmer (we think), and it’s time to make the most of the delicious cool water from any of our under sink chillers. But let’s face it, plain water isn’t always what you crave, and it’s not that groovy to serve it at your summertime gatherings- so we’re here to help. This week sees the beginning of a two-part blog, in which we share some of our fave summer beverages with you, that are easy to rustle up, and taste delicious. We hope you enjoy them!
Strawberry blast cocktail:
- Take 4 cups of strawberries, and puree them. Once they’re nice and mushy, strain them to remove the seeds.
- Splash in 2 cups of lemonade, along with 3.5 cups of cranberry juice, mixed with ½ cup of cold water from your under sink chiller.
- Add ginger ale to taste, and serve in cool glasses with ice if desired! A slice on lime on the side of the glass also adds an extra summery feel.
If you have any questions about our products, or would like to share another cocktail recipe with us/let us know what you think of this one, please do get in touch. We always love to hear from you!

Under sink chiller and the watery alarm clock

May 23rd, 2010

an under sink chiller can replace your alarm clockThese days, we’re lucky to have our own alarm clocks to help us get up in the morning, to roll into the shower, and bound out the door, on the way to work, ready to face the day ahead with gusto and enthusiasm. Of course, the specifics of what we use for these alarm clocks does vary, from our kitty cat jumping on our faces, to the significant other’s snoring increasing once the morning comes. But back in the day, a more conventional, cheaper and relatively practical method was used for ensuring one would wake up when required.
The trick was simply this: drinking plenty of water before one went to bed, thus (almost) guaranteeing that one would need to visit the bathroom during the early hours of the morning. Now we all know how difficult it is to sleep when one is afflicted with this condition, thus ensuring waking up in time to mow the fields or pat the cows.
So, if you find your very own alarm clock running out of batteries/solves the snoring issue/is locked in the kitchen, why not simply take some big gulps from your under sink chiller, and make sure you rise and shine bright and early? Of course, we’ll need to come and install first; simply give one of our friendly team a call, and we can arrange for one of our engineers to pay you a visit. We look forward to hearing from you!
